Thugz Dont Cry by Duvy ft. Vory
Toronto Music Archive
Duvy collaborates with Vory on the hard-hitting tune "Thugz Don't Cry." I'm not going to lie, this one is an anthem. Duvy delivered a flawless performance, complete with a catchy hook and a memorable verse. Vory used the same flow as Duvy but added his own VORY flavour to the track spicing it up. The entire Song was perfect from start to finish. Duvy really delivered a well put together project full of gems. “Thugz Dont Cry” being the opener and the mainstream billboard hot 100 worthy single. But the album is filled with hitter such as “Paranoia”, “Mikes” & “Secrets”. The simple yet lively beat and acoustic instrumentals provide the right foundation for Duvy's distinct delivery and flow. He brings this super catchy infectious flow thats just addictive. Duvy has come a long way in the previous two years, and this album demonstrates that well. Everything from the production to the beat choices to the delivery was flawless and well worth the wait. Duvy must continue to exert pressure. To keep the buzz going, this is an excellent moment to release a slew of fresh music videos and singles. Slowing down will always slow the hype; few artists can release and then leave and still have the same, if not a larger, audience when they return. Carti is a prime example, but Toronto is a far more unforgiving city. But Toronto will never forget Duvy but if you leave for too long, then people will start to move on. Duvy has built something to impactful to be left behind but it’s a trend I see artists just shouldn’t do because slowing you’re momentum you work so hard to start is just shooting yourself in the foot.
