“25 to life” is the latest release from 96. This was something special, the emotion, lyrics, instrumentals speak for themselves. The vocals were executed perfectly and the lyrics are strong. The product as a whole was executed will style and precision. The emotional, vocal rap is one of those you hear a lot in the states but not as much in Toronto, not because there is none, but because it’s not as appreciated. This is one of the driving forces of DMTV, to change that mentality in the city. 96 is a talent with a bright future that deserves way more recognition. The music he creates has substance, quality, and emotion behind it. Things that most artists lack, not easy to find someone who does all of these well, let alone the multiple other things like consistency and many more factors at play. With all of this, I can’t wait to see what 96 does next.
