Nue is a rising Canadian artist who has been making waves in the music industry with his unique blend of rap and R&B. Born in Toronto, Nue's style is heavily influenced by the city's vibrant music scene, which is known for producing artists who combine different genres to create a sound that is both unique and fresh. I want to dive into Nue's entire discography and really get a sense of who he is as an artist. He is one of the more exciting acts coming out. His look and style is something that really gives off that Atlanta vibes but with his own Toronto twist. Nue’s fashion is one of his best features, he really stands out from the crowd. Everything from the color choices to the unique combinations, Nue is definitely one of the best dressed in the Toronto scene. Nue began his music career back in 2018, with the release of his debut single, "Nightfall." The track was well-received, and Nue quickly gained a following, thanks to his introspective lyrics and laid-back flow. He would later release a remix with Pressa which garnered 1.6 millions streams on Spotify alone. This was his biggest moment yet. That same year, Nue also released his debut mixtape, "u met me at a strange time," which featured his already well known and classic vocal and cadence style, and showcased his ability to create music that was both catchy and unique at the time.

In 2019, Nue would keep up releasing 3 new singles keeping it low-key overall. 2020 would be his slowest year with only one single titled “Hold Me Down” which he was featured in. It was a banger nonetheless, with two very talented artists by the names of CMDWN & FIJI. But the lack of music was definitely noticeable. 2021 would also be a slow year but it did deliver two quality singles like “Feel It Now,” and “Thousand Times.” Nue gave us a mainstream classic with “Feel It Now.” The catchy flows and infectious melodies really showcased Nue’s ability to really take over the industry one day. The reason I say one day is because Nue I feel is building something much bigger over time rather than just be the next big thing for a few months. He has potential in building a cult-like fanbase that would lead him into a much bigger and brighter future. 2022 would deliver two singles and a full length album titled “PLAYGROUND.” Nue gave something a lot more mainstream and really pushed his sound. He gave us this melodic rap and rock fused beat. The electric guitar really gave this 90s rock vibe and his rockstar appearance only amplifies that track. The album would see classics like “Wallflower,” “Wocking Dead,” and “Heaven On Earth.” This is one of the best projects I have heard of in recent memory.

It’s such a well put together project. It has unbelievable mixing and production behind it. His beat selections and production choices alone were some of the best I’ve heard in a minute. But his delivery and cadence really set the tone for the project. You have the more high energy tracks like “Wallflower” mixed with deep and emotional tracks like “Heaven On Earth.” The album was a critical and commercial success, and it cemented Nue's place as one of the most exciting new artists in the Canadian music scene. The album showcased Nue's introspective lyrics and his ability to switch seamlessly between rapping and singing. Throughout his career, Nue has been praised for his ability to create music that is both introspective and catchy. His style combines elements of rap, R&B, alternative, and the many more styles that helped blend his sound we all know and love today. His lyrics often explore themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Nue's music is a reflection of his life experiences, and his ability to connect with his audience has helped him gain a loyal following. With each release, Nue continues to push the boundaries of his sound, and he remains one of the most exciting new artists in the music industry.
